NBYT seeks a Stage Manager (a stipend position) and volunteers for upcoming productions this spring and summer.
NBYT is in need of a Stage Manager for its spring production of Charlotte’s Web. Rehearsals, which have already begun, are on Monday and Wednesday evenings from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. Performance dates are May 3, 4 and 5. Some flexibility with hours may be workable for the right person, but attendance at all tech rehearsals and performances is required.
The Stage Manager will assist the directors with warm-ups, rehearsals, and performances; will help to supervise program participants; and will help to distribute information and materials to parents and families.
A small stipend will be paid for the position. Candidates should be at least 18 years old, should have some experience in theater and/or working with children. Organizational skills, reliability, and punctuality are required.
NBYT seeks Teen Volunteers, ages 16 and up, to assist on productions this spring and summer. Current programs seeking volunteers are the spring production, Charlotte’s Web and the summer musical, Mary Poppins Jr.
Volunteers will assist with warm-ups, instruction, rehearsals, and other activities; will assist with performances as required; and will assist Directors, Stage Managers, and other adult staff in supervising younger program participants.
All Teen Volunteers must be reliable, punctual, and responsible for their own transportation. Although these are unpaid volunteer positions, volunteers will gain valuable experience and—because NBYT is a nonprofit organization—may be able to receive credit hours from schools or other organizations requiring community service.
Please send an email to Executive Director Darren Farrington by email to email@example.com. No phone inquiries please.
