NBYT is in search of a volunteer Program Book Editor to edit and prepare its program books for printing. Responsibilities include editing and laying out production information, cast lists, cast and staff bios, program ads, and other announcements.
Program books are currently prepared in Microsoft Publisher, but we’re open to the work being done in another program. Brief meetings or conversations may be necessary, but most of the work can be done independently and at home.
Applicants of any age (including students, parents, grandparents) may apply, but those applying should have some editing and graphic design experience (school papers and projects count) and must be able to meet firm deadlines. Although this is a volunteer position, the Program Book Editor will receive free tickets to NBYT performances. Also, because NBYT is a nonprofit organization, students applying may be able to receive community service credit hours from schools or other organizations requiring volunteerism.
To apply, please send an email to Executive and Artistic Director Darren Farrington at firstname.lastname@example.org. If possible, please attach some sample of simple graphic design work. No phone inquiries please.
