New Britain Youth Theater is hiring a teaching assistant for a homeschool program working with children ages 5 to 8 on Tuesday mornings from 9 to 10 a.m. The teaching assistant will also have the opportunity for additional hours working with programs brought into Hartford elementary schools. The position is open immediately.
Teaching Assistants assist with warm-ups, rehearsals, and other planned activities; support “share day” performances; and help to supervise program participants. No experience is required, but a background or interest in either theater or education is helpful.
All applicants must be reliable team players and be responsible for their own transportation. Hourly salary is dependent upon experience. College students and homeschooled teens age 16 and up are encouraged to apply.
