NBYT seeks resumes from Teaching Assistants for homeschool enrichment and after-school theater programs in New Britain for the 2016-17 school year. Assistants will assist with warm-ups, instruction, rehearsals, and other planned activities; will support “share day” performances; and will help to supervise program participants. Assistants should be available on Tuesdays mornings and/or Mondays and Wednesdays after school. Background checks will be required. Hourly salary is dependent upon experience.
NBYT also seeks Teen Volunteers, ages 14 to 18, to assist on productions and in educational programs on Tuesdays and/or Saturday mornings. Volunteers will assist with warm-ups, instruction, rehearsals, and other activities; will assist with performances as required; and will assist Directors, Stage Managers, Teaching Artists, and other adult staff in supervising younger program participants. Although these are unpaid volunteer positions, volunteers will gain valuable experience and—because NBYT is a nonprofit organization—may be able to receive community service credit hours from schools or other organizations requiring volunteerism.
All applicants must be reliable team players and be responsible for their own transportation.
To apply, please send an email to Executive Director Darren Farrington by email to firstname.lastname@example.org. No phone inquiries please.
