Substitute Teaching Artists and Program Assistants
NBYT seeks resumes from Teaching Artists and Program Assistants as substitutes for after-school theater programs in New Britain for the remainder of the 2014-15 school year.
Teaching Artists are responsible for following lesson plans for groups of up to twenty 3rd, 4th and 5th graders. Program Assistants will assist with warm-ups, instruction, rehearsals, and other planned activities; will support “share day” performances; and will help to supervise program participants.
All applicants must be reliable team players and be responsible for their own transportation. Availability during after-school hours (3:00 to 6:00 p.m.) on Mondays, Tuesdays, Wednesdays, and/or Thursdays is required. Background checks will also be required. Hourly salary is dependent upon experience.
Set Designers and Builders, Lighting Designers, and Board Operators
NBYT also seeks additional set designers and builders, lighting designers, and light and sound board operators for upcoming productions. Payment of stipends will be on a project-by-project basis and based upon involvement and time-commitment.
NBYT is also accepting resumes from interns interested in education, production, or administrative positions. Available work includes teaching assistance, assistant stage management, marketing, fundraising, and more. Positions are available during the spring semester or summer. Hours and commitment are flexible. Interns are unpaid, but NBYT will cooperate with schools and colleges to provide academic credit or community service credit if available.
To apply, please send an email (with resume if available) to Executive Director Darren Farrington by email to email@example.com. No phone inquiries please.
