For some reason, we’re feeling in a trick-or-treat mood today! This is no trick, but parents or other family can earn treats—in the form of tickets or even cash—from NBYT. Rumpelstiltskin and A Charlie Brown Christmas and Frosty the Snowman are opening soon (and don’t forget about auditions for The Adventures of Tom Sawyer). We’re also booking performances of The Cinderella Project at schools.
Here’s how you can help and what you can earn back:
- Sell a half-page program ad (or two quarter-page program ads) and receive a free ticket to any one of our performances (subject to ticket availability of course). Half-page ads costs $55, quarter-page ads cost $30, and all ads run for one full year. That’s a total of seven productions and at least twenty-one performances. Sell a full-page ad at $100 and receive two tickets to any performance!
- Sell a block of group tickets to a school or youth group and receive a free ticket for every ten purchased. Group tickets are just $10 for A Charlie Brown Christmas and Frosty the Snowman. (Due to limited seating and already low ticket prices, no group discount is offered for Rumpelstiltskin.) When a group attends a performance, they’ll get mentioned in the curtain speech and can even take a photo onstage after the show.
- Refer The Cinderella Project to a school and receive $75 when they book a performance! That’s not $75 in tickets or gift certificates, that’s actual cash! This educational performance is great for elementary schools, the show runs about 35-40 minutes, and a talk-back with the writers, director, and cast members is included along with a study sheet for every student and teacher attending. (New Britain and Bristol public schools have already been contacted.)
Remember when you’re reaching out to the community for support—whether for program ads, group ticket sales, or school performance bookings—that NBYT is not limited to New Britain. We’ve had participants come from over fifty towns throughout Connecticut, with a large number of children and families coming from Plainville, Southington, Berlin, Newington, West Hartford, Farmington, and Bristol! Businesses and groups supporting NBYT from any of these towns would be helping our entire region!
