Designers Needed for Sets, Costumes and Props
Have you always wanted to build a giant stone fruit? How about designing an enchanted forest?
Would you like to help create insect costumes? Well, actually, insects and worms.
Or maybe collecting (or making) Victorian-era props is your thing?
NBYT is looking for designers and builders for upcoming productions of James and the Giant Peach, Great Expectations, and Into the Woods Jr. Specifically, we’re looking for set building assistance and costume design for James, prop designers and coordinators for Great Expectations, and a set designer and builder for Into the Woods.
Costume designers should have experience working with children, and should be able to build, borrow, or buy costumes within budget restraints. Set and prop designers should be able to build or assemble their designs working with a volunteer staff. Payment of small stipends will be on a project-by-project basis and based upon involvement and experience. Volunteers are also welcome of course.
To inquire about any project, please email Executive Director and Producer Darren Farrington at darren@nbyt.org.
