Cancellation Policies for Severe Weather

If rehearsals, classes or other programs must be cancelled due to severe weather or other reasons, New Britain Youth Theater will follow the following procedures.

• If New Britain public schools are closed or close early, any programs and rehearsals scheduled in schools for that evening are cancelled.
• Cancellations will be announced by email, on Facebook, and on WFSB and WVIT. Please understand that in the case of widespread power outages, some of these methods may not be possible.
• Cancelled classes will add sessions to the end of the term. Cancelled rehearsals may or may not be made up.
• In all cases, please use your own judgment about whether or not it is safe to travel. Our families’ safety is the top priority.
