The NBYT Teen Company will have a planning meeting for the 2011-12 season on Thursday, October 13 at 7:00 p.m. All teens and their parents are welcome to attend to help suggest productions and programs for the next year. The meeting will be held at NBYT’s offices in Trinity-on-Main Performance Center at 19 Chestnut Street in downtown New Britain.
Some things that will be discussed are:
- Plays for spring and summer 2012
- Specialized classes or workshops in acting, improv, design, directing or writing
- Educational internships and volunteer opportunities helping in rehearsals, classes or after-school programs
- Possible group trips to productions at other theaters
The NBYT Teen Company is a program of New Britain Youth Theater in which teens become involved in choosing, producing and promoting their own theater. The program offers leadership opportunities and a chance for teens to do the shows they want to do. The first performance of the Company was I Know I Saw Gypsies in July 2011.
