Work with Us! Tech, Design and Music Positions Posted for 2011-12 Season
In its 2011-12 season, NBYT will produce an original Christmas play with music in December, a children’s adaption of Rodgers and Hammerstein’s Cinderella in May, and Seussical Jr. in Summer 2012. We’ll also produce a Teen Company play in March and several small-scale productions in classes and school programs. Want to work with us? Staff for the following positions are needed.
A Tech Director to help coordinate design, building, and technical aspects of production. The ideal candidate will be skilled in basic carpentry and set construction, have a general knowledge of lighting and sound, have some design experience, and be able to lead a team of volunteers. Payment will be on a project-by-project basis and based upon experience. The opportunity may also become available to teach a teen program in technical theater.
A Music Director to teach and rehearse music for productions. The ideal candidate will be a graduate or current student in music or music education, and have experience working with children. Payment will be on a project-by-project basis and based upon experience. The opportunity may also become available to teach or co-teach classes in musical theater.
Costume and Set Designers for productions. Costume designers should have experience working with children. Payment will be on a project-by-project basis and based upon experience.
