“In Kids on Stage! productions, children are given the opportunity to perform, to work together as a cast, and to gain other benefits—such as self-confidence, self-esteem, social skills, and increased focus—of the performing arts. Performances are not only for child actors, but are created to be high-quality, low-cost entertainment for children and families."

Adapted by R. Rex Stephenson
Directed by Rae Johnson

When a group of neighborhood girls and boys visit Mark Twain at home, he narrates and passes out parts, and the children act out the story of the Tudor prince and a look-alike peasant. Happening alongside this action, Twain meets with a writer who he had selected to take dictation as Twain recalls the events of his life for his autobiography.
